Tour Itinerary
- UK to Warsaw Your door-to-door driver takes you to your choice of local airport. Transfer to the centrally-located 4* Sheraton Hotel for the first of a two-night stay. This evening join your fellow guests for a welcome drink. D
- WarsawA guided tour of Warsaw includes the Palace of Culture and the Chopin Memorial in Lazienki Park. In Market Square watch a fascinating film about the city’s reconstruction. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. B
- Warsaw to Vilnius Pass lakeside Augustaw and Suwalki on a scenic drive through Mazuria, a region richly endowed with lakes and vast forests. Cross into Lithuania and on to Vilnius. Check into the 3.5* Radisson Blu Astorija Hotel in the heart of the Old Town. B D
- Vilnius A day’s sightseeing starts in the church of St Peter and St Paul and then takes in a guided tour of the Old Town, including a visit to the old Soviet KGB headquarters, a reminder of grim and relatively recent events. This is followed by a trip to the island castle of Trakai. B
- Vilnius to Riga Today you head north to visit the ‘Votive Hill of Crosses’ near Siauliai. Then it’s on to Riga in Latvia, where you will check into the 4* Radisson Blu Riga. B D
- Riga to Tallinn During a tour of the Old Town you will see the House of the Three Brothers and the castle of the Livonian Knights. A drive along the shores of the Gulf of Riga takes you across the Estonian border and on to Tallinn. Check into the 4* Radisson Blu Olumpia hotel. B D
- Tallinn A morning’s sightseeing and shopping in Tallinn including a chance to walk up Toompea Hill to visit the castle and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. The rest of the day is at leisure to browse Tallinn’s shops which are famous for fine amber and silver jewellery. B
- Tallinn to St Petersburg Head east to the town of Narva which is dominated by the Hermannsburg fortress and then cross the border into Russia on your way to St Petersburg. Check in to the 4* Sokos Vasilievsky Hotel. B
- St Petersburg On your sightseeing tour see the fortress of St Peter and Paul, the gilded dome of St Isaac’s Cathedral and the cruises, ‘Aurora’, now a memorial of the Russian Revolution. Travel down St Petersburg’s main avenue, Nevesky Prospekt for views of the great Cathedral of Kazan followed by a visit to the Heritage Museum with its collection of priceless art. B
- St PetersburgVisit the fabulous gardens and fountains of Peter the Great’s summer residence at Petrodvorets. Enjoy some time at leisure this afternoon. B
- St Petersburg to Moscow A morning at leisure sightseeing and shopping along Nevsky Prospekt. Early evening board the train for a five-hour journey to Moscow. Check in at the 4* Crowne Plaza Moscow. B D
- MoscowA sightseeing tour of Moscow’s major attractions, including the Kremlin and Red Square, St Basil’s Catherdal and Lenin’s Tomb. Free time to shop for souvenirs. B
- Moscow A full day to explore Moscow at your leisure. Alternatively, join an optional tour to gaze at the treasures of the Tsars at the Kremlin Museum. This evening enjoy an end-of-tour celebration dinner in a Russian restaurant. B D
- Moscow to UK Fly back to your chosen airport, where your door-to-door driver will be waiting to take you home. B

Travel Notes
This tour is operated by our travel partner, Insight Vacations, a specialist escorted tour operator in Europe.
The tour is conducted at a leisurely pace with only three overnight stays and three-night stays in Moscow and St Petersburg. This allows ample time for in-depth exploration at your own pace as well as time to participate in the optional excursions.
An invitational letter and visa is required for travel in to Russia, please refer to the Embassy for further information.

Unescorted extensions
You may wish to extend your stay at the start of your tour at the 4* Sheraton Hotel. Prices are from £78 per person per night, based on 2 people sharing (£38 single supplement).
You may wish to spend some additional time at the 4* Crowne Plaza in Moscow at the end of the tour. Prices start from £188 per person (£58 single supplement).
Please note that the extension supplement of £25 per person and transfers are not included in these prices.
