On arrival at London Heathrow, take your British Airways flight to Verona via Rome where you will be met and transferred to the 3* Hotel Royal Palme Suite Complex in Garda, located in the centre of a park, 400 meters away from the town centre and 800 meters from the beach.
Your first day in Garda can be spent under your own steam or you may wish to take part in the optional around the lake. This tour really puts Lake Garda into perspective as you travel along the romantic Gardesana, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful roads in Europe with its distinctive olive trees, cypresses and wild flowers. Your journey takes you through many of Lake
Garda’s picturesque villages past Roman and Venetian monuments prior to a lake crossing by ferry.
We have included a trip to the celebrated city of canals – Venice. On arrival you will take a boat along the “Giudecca” canal to St. Marks Square for views of the Basilica, Bell-tower and the Bridge of Sighs. Then you will travel by foot through some of the lesser-known but equally characteristic areas of the city to the Rialto Bridge and take in Venetian life on the Grand Canal. There is also the possibility of an optional gondola ride or a sightseeing cruise on the lagoon before returning to Garda.
Enjoy a leisurely day in this idyllic spot. Alternatively your tour manager will be on-hand to advise you of the optional excursions available.
Enjoy some time at leisure in Garda. Alternatively take our optional trip to a winery where along the Gardesana we reach a wine growing area in the Adige Valley where some of the best Trentino wines (Pinot grigio and Cabernet) are produced. Visit the vineyard “Maso Roveri” where the owner will show you the methods and the techniques of making wines. Wine tasting with a snack of bread and salami and a bottle of wine are included in the price of this optional tour.
- Garda to Selva di Val Gardena
We leave behind Lake Garda this morning and head for the charming town of Bolzano, the capital of the South Tyrol. After some free time continue to the village of Selva in the heart of the Dolomites where the 3* Hotel Selva, a small and friendly hotel located right in the centre of Selva. On arrival you will have the rest of the day to yourself.
